Elle Magazine asked us to design an award for their highly anticipated annual Style Awards, to be granted to Bonne Reijn, Stylist of the Year. We created the smallest award ever – a 14 carat gold version of the annoying plastic price tag, which plagues even the most luxury clothing. We made the unglamorous, glamourous and focused on the most common, least celebrated, underexposed part of a garment, the tag.
We designed the golden tag pin as two parts that can easily be clicked together – so it can be worn as jewellery, rather then just sitting on a mantelpiece for the rest of eternity. At the awards ceremony, we installed the tiny 5cmx1cm pin into the label of the Winners clothing, where it belongs.
